Jennifer Leilani Zelko-Schlueter, Esq.

Jennifer is currently the Director of Government and Community Affairs at Hawaiian Electric. Prior to
joining HELCO, she was an attorney with the law firm Torkildson Katz. She first began her legal career
with the firm Carlsmith Ball. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and
Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law. She serves on numerous boards including: HFS
Credit Union, Na Leo ‘O Hawai’i, Vibrant Hawai’i, and is Director Emeritus of Kuikahi Mediation Center.
She is also a member of the Hawai’i Island Chamber of Commerce, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce,
Hawai’i County Bar Association and Hawai’i State Bar Association. Jennifer serves as a CAAP (Court
Annexed Arbitration Program) arbitrator and is a volunteer at the legal Self-Help center at the Hilo
Judiciary Complex.
